React Native

React Native lets us build genuinely native iOS and Android apps from a single codebase — sharing logic, skills, and often code with your web app, at a fraction of the cost of building each platform separately.

React Native takes the React model you'd use on the web and renders real native UI components on iOS and Android. The result isn't a webpage in a wrapper — it's an actual native app, with native performance and feel, built from one shared codebase in a language your web team already knows.

For most products, that shared codebase is the whole point. Instead of hiring and coordinating separate iOS and Android teams writing the same features twice, one team ships both platforms from largely the same code — cutting cost and time-to-market substantially while keeping the two apps consistent by construction.

When React Native is the right call

React Native is an excellent fit for the large majority of apps: marketplaces, social products, dashboards, booking and commerce apps, internal tools — anything where the UI is standard mobile interaction rather than cutting-edge graphics. For these, it delivers a native experience with a fraction of the duplicated effort.

There are cases where fully native still wins — heavy 3D or AR, intensive real-time graphics, or deep integration with brand-new OS features on day one. We're honest about those trade-offs and will recommend native Swift or Kotlin when your product genuinely needs it, rather than forcing a cross-platform fit.

How we build React Native apps

We build on modern React Native with TypeScript and Expo where it fits, which streamlines builds, over-the-air updates, and access to native device APIs. Business logic, types, and API layers are shared with your web app where possible, so a bug fixed once is fixed everywhere.

We design for real mobile conditions from the start: offline-first data with background sync, graceful handling of dropped connections, push notifications, and deep links. And we own the release gauntlet — provisioning, store listings, review compliance, and CI/CD pipelines — so launches and updates ship smoothly.

Sharing code with your web product

Because React Native and React web share a language, a component mental model, and often a data layer, a team fluent in one is productive in the other. For clients with both a web and mobile product, that overlap means shared types, shared validation, shared API clients, and less duplicated logic to keep in sync.

That doesn't mean identical UI — good mobile design differs from good web design, and we build native-feeling interfaces for each. But the expensive, bug-prone business logic underneath can be written once, which is where much of the cost saving of React Native actually comes from.

Frequently asked questions

Is React Native as good as fully native?

For most apps, yes — the experience is native and users can't tell the difference. Fully native only wins for heavy graphics, AR, or bleeding-edge OS features, and we'll tell you when that's your case.

Does one codebase really work for iOS and Android?

Yes — the large majority of code is shared, with small platform-specific touches where each OS differs. It's dramatically less than maintaining two separate native apps.

Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?

Yes — provisioning, store listings, review compliance, and release pipelines are all part of what we deliver.

Can React Native share code with our website?

Business logic, types, and API clients can be shared with a React web app, though the UI is built natively for each platform. That reuse is a big part of the cost saving.
