Driver and vehicle location counts as personal data under GDPR, so telematics needs a lawful basis and safeguards, and dangerous goods on the road fall under the ADR agreement.
In the United States, the FMCSA mandates Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and enforces Hours-of-Service limits, the DOT and its hazmat rules (49 CFR) govern dangerous goods, and customs programs like C-TPAT shape cross-border trade. Across Asia-Pacific and globally, customs single-window systems, per-country driver and vehicle rules, and regional trade frameworks (such as ASEAN cross-border transport) all apply, alongside international standards — Incoterms for trade terms, HS codes for classification, and IMO and IATA rules for sea and air dangerous goods. We design customs, documentation, and compliance features to be configurable per corridor rather than hard-coded to one country.
