Revolut

I worked in the Aquiring team at Revolut. I was in charge of migrating Nobly POS app into Revolut app suite.

Vivy GmbH

I was in charge of the iOS app. I was part of the Platform team, handling core functionality tasks.

WowApp

The product is similar to Skype. VoIP platform at its core. We used XMPP together with Erlang server for instant messaging and Java for REST.

The Android and iOS apps were built above a C++, shared code, that managed the interaction with the XMPP server.

Augmented reality app that helps to create perfect eyebrows. Anastasia, the business owner, is known as the best in the domain and the app implements patented formulas for achieving perfecting in the domain.

Key responsibilities:

• restructuring the mobile team - improving the average talent available.

• initiated internship program - the main focus was to find the talent with the potential to overcome the lack of experience
• conducted scrum meetings and rituals
• feature team leader - managed iOS, Android, Desktop, Web developers, product owner, release manager, and QAs - depending on the feature the team averaged from 6 to 10 people.

Cronian Academy is the first university technology accelerator program in Romania. The syllabus has been developed by Cronian Group in partnership with the Faculty of Computer Science, University of Bucharest. Based on the interest of the final-year university and master's students, we are providing a practical program to supplement the existing academic curriculum, through restructuring existing courses and provide additional ones.

During its initial two years of activity, though Cronian Academy over twenty-five mobile apps and web platforms were delivered and presented to the public and the most ambitious ones received outside funding from top European investment funds. The product I have been working on was a turn-by-turn navigation app. It was sold as a white label and I, together with my team, was in charge of creating the core features of the app, which were later customized by a different, internal, department. Our clients were major GSM operators like Orange and Vodafone. The company was later sold to Intel.

After the acquisition, I worked on migrating to a B2C model, where the app was a standalone product. 2010 was the year I joined the Mobile ecosystem. I delivered a multitude of mobile applications for French clients. Around that time there were 3 main platforms: iOS, Android, and Symbian. I experienced working on all of them during that time. For Symbian, I used QT for development. I was in charge of shipping a full solution for generating direct debit payment requests for existing clients.

Use case: Our clients had some insurance or pension payments to do on a monthly basis. The solution I created would generate the payment requests, automatically, and automated the work that was previously done manually.

The most important challenge of this position was working with banks (that were our partners), in a formal environment where bugs mean important problems since working with money means strict regulations and there is a very small room for errors. The solution is used in production with success today.
